Media Machine
During my time at the machine, I was tasked with creating case studies for Expedia and GFNF (a Columbus based resell company) to showcase all of the wonderful branding and assets we created for their companies. I was greatly honored to be trusted in designing the layout for these studies, writing many notes and comments for ways to add in animation and other site elements.
Before I turned my case studies into a digital reality, I did what I do best to help me visualize and brainstorm the first drafts; Collage! The picture below is one of my beginning collages for the GFNF case study! I implemented my animation ideas on sticky notes and then transferred them over to text notes which can be seen on the Expedia case study.
While at the machine, I helped with their social media and assisted on a plethora of shoots! I got to make a cookie (a gadget for casting shadows to produce a specific pattern) for our Novella Restaurant shoot. I also got to paint the blue box we used for our BedBath&Beyond shoot.
I also supported on a series of video shoots for Victoria’s Secret’s Pride Month campaigns, collaborating with our in house production team on several projects. During those shoots, I helped set up lighting equipment, assisted in testing audio and lighting, directed a diverse range of participants throughout the day including talent, managed food catering logistics, and ensured smooth coordination on set. This behind-the-scenes role refined my technical and organizational skills in a production setting and allowed me to contribute to content aligned with an important and timely campaign.
